Bihar elections: All arrangements made for polling of first phase

In Bihar, all necessary arrangements have been made for polling of first phase of assembly elections to be held on Thursday. About one crore seven lakh voters will decide the political fate of 636 candidates.AIR correspondent reports, issues of Development, Unemloyment and non-proper execution of central sponsored schemes figured prominently during campaigning for the first phase of election in the state. While leaders of the NDA alleged UPA led government at the centre not to grant special status to Bihar, they also accused not to provide adequate central assistance for development of the state. On the other hand Congress charged the Nitish led NDA government non- utilization of crores of rupees which was allotted by the centre to this state for welfare of the state.RJD, LJP and NCP also targeted the Nitish government for backwardness of the state and stated that there is corruption everywhere.
