Bihar declares state mourning for former CM Jha and Minister Sah

The Bihar Government has declared a two day state mourning in honour of former Chief Minister Bhagwat Jha Azad who died early this morning. He was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and being treated at AIIMS. He was 89. He will be cremated at New Delhi today. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and many other state leaders have expressed shock over the sad demise of the socialist leader.The State Government has also declared a day’s mourning today in honour of Panchayati Raj and Backward Welfare Minister Hari Prasad Sah, who expired last night due to brain hemorrhage. He will be cremated with full state honours tomorrow. The cremation will take place at his native village Nirmali in Supaul. Our correspondent reports, the body of the Minister, brought to Patna this morning by air, has been kept in the Legislative Assembly campus. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Udai Narayan Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and other State leaders paid floral tributes to the socialist leader. Sah was under treatment at AIIMS in New Delhi for sometime. He was an MLA from the Lokha constituency in Madhubani.
