<span style="color: #222222;">In Bihar, the death toll in lightning and other rain-related incidents has gone up to 36. Fourteen people have also been injured in the incidents in nine districts. They are undergoing treatment at local hospitals. Most of the victims were farmers and labourers working in the field. Maximum 14 people died in Patna and Samastipur  districts. Another 22 people died in seven districts including Sitamarhi  Sheohar, Darbhanga, Madhepura and Purnea.<br />''<br />''Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced an ex-gratia of four lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the deceased. Weathermen have cautioned people to remain vigilant as more lightning strikes are expected in the next 48 hours in different parts of the state. People have been advised to remain indoors during this period.<br />''<br />''Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed condolences to the family of those who lost their lives in lightning strikes in Bihar. In a tweet, Mr Shah said the teams of state government and disaster management are doing relief works. He wished speedy recovery of the injured. </span>
