In Bihar, a local court of Munger district today awarded death sentence to five naxals in the case of killing of two and injuring 10 CRPF personnel during 2014 Lok Sabha elections.<br/><br/>Additional district and sessions judge Jyoti Swarup Shrivastava announced the quantum of punishment and also slapped a fine of 50,000 rupees to each of convicts.<br/><br/>During Lok Sabha elections in 2014, a patrolling party of CRPF was attacked by members of banned outfit CPI (Maoist) before polling near Sawa Lakh Baba ( ??? ??? ???? ) area at Gangta-Jamui road under Munger district.<br/><br/>A group of maoist guerrillas had indiscriminately opened fire on central paramilitary personnel and triggered a land mine blast in which two Havildars – Soumey Gowda and Ravindra Kumar Rai of CRPF were killed and 10 jawans were injured.
