Bihar Cooperative Minister Ramadhar Prasad Singh resigns

In Bihar, Cooperative Minister Ramadhar Prasad Singh, has resigned from the NDA government in the state. Mr. Singh has submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar late last night. Ramadhar Singh is a BJP MLA from Aurangabad. Opposition leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui has sought the dismissal of the cooperative minister from the state cabinet on the ground that Mr. Singh was an absconder in the eyes of law in a case relating to delivering a provocative speech in 1992. AIR patna correspondent reports that the Aurangabad court had issued non-bailabe warrant against Ramadhar Singh on 31st May 1994 due to his absence in the court. After that the court declared him absconder on 8th December 1995.
