<span style="color: #222222;">Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today made an aerial survey of flood-affected areas of the state today to assess the damage caused by prevailing floods. Earlier Mr Kumar visited flood affected areas of Patna to take stock of the situation arising out after floods.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">After the aerial survey, Mr Kumar held review meeting with the District Magistrates of affected districts and instructed them to step up relief and rescue operations in affected areas of the state. The Chief Minister instructed officials to provide necessary support to the affected population without any delay. Nitish Kumar asked officials of water resources department to remain vigilant to avert untoward incidents.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile the flood situation has worsened in the state following continuous rising of water level of Ganga all along its course from Buxar to Kahalgao . The water level of Ganga is flowing 125 cm above danger level in Patna while it is above 58 cm in Buxar. In Many areas, water levels of rivers are fastly rising. The state government has advised people to move to safer areas. NDRF and SDRF teams are carrying out relief and rescue operations in flood affected areas of the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Over three hundred villages of Patna,Munger,Bhagalpur ,Katihar and Khagaria are surrounded by flood waters.Standing crops spread over six lakh hectares have been damaged. Vehicular traffic has been disrupted at several places in flood affected areas of the state.</span><br />''  <br />
