Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has instructed officials to intensify relief and rescue operations in flood affected areas of the state.<br />''<br />'' Reviewing the prevailing flood situation in the state Mr Kumar asked officials to repair breached embankments immediately.<br />'' <br />''The Chief Minister stressed the importance of inter linking of small rivers of south Bihar to avert floods in future.This will be also helpful for irrigation in the areas.  Ganga, Sone and Punpun rivers are flowing above danger mark and are maintaining rising trend. Surging water is  engulfing  low lying areas.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">People who are living in areas along the banks of the rivers in Nalanda,Arwal,Gaya and Aurangabad  have been advised  to move to safer places. NDRF and SDRF teams are carrying out relief and rescue operation in affected areas of the state.</span><br />
