Bihar CM conducts aerial survey of flood affected districts; instructs officials to speed up assistance

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has instructed officials to speed up assistance to people in flood-affected areas of the state. After making aerial survey of five districts of East Champaran, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur Sitamarhi and Sheohar yesterday,  Mr Kumar said the State Government will provide assistance to farmers in flood-affected areas after assessing the damage of crops. The Chief Minister said, Corona vaccination and testing will be mandatory for those people who are living in relief camps.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, the flood situation turned grim in West Champaran, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur and Sitamarhi. Flood water is now spreading in urban areas of Motihari and Muzaffarpur.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr Kumar said the state is witnessing flood due to unprecedented heavy downpour before scheduled time of monsoon. The Chief Minister will make an aerial survey to Samastipur, Darbhanga and Madhubani today.</span>
