Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called on naxals to join the mainstream. Expressing happiness over the release of captive policemen, Mr. Kumar appealed naxals to shun violence as no problem can be solved through violence. He has expressed his gratitude to all parties for giving full support to the government during the period of crisis. Chief Minister requested centre to provide more para military forces to tackle naxal menace in the state. He said, jawans of central para military forces must be deployed on all polling booths during upcoming assembly election in the state to ensure free and fair poll. Meanwhile, RJD and LJP leaders Lalu Prasad and Ramvilas Paswan on Monday said that the three Bihar policemen had been freed by Maoists on humanitarian grounds and the Nitish Kumar government could not take credit for it. On the other hand, JD(U) president Sharad Yadav accused the opposition RJD, LJP and Congress of playing dirty politics over the hostage crisis. He said the release of the abducted policemen had brought great satisfaction and happiness.
