<span style="color: #222222;">In Bihar, a seven member inter ministerial team of Central government is visiting today affected areas of the state to assess damage caused by recent devastating floods. The team is led by joint secretary of Union Home Department. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Before departing to affected areas, central team held discussions with officers of different departments including state Chief Secretary. <br />'' <br />'' </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that the team is today visiting worst affected districts of Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Madhubani. During three days the team will go in ten other districts to assess the damage. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The team will go to affected regions to get a first hand feel of the devastation caused by the floods. The Bihar government has sought the assistance of  2,700 crore rupees from centre under various heads. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Over 88 lakh people spread over 13 districts were hit by floods this year and 160 people were killed. Crops in over 2 lakh sixty thousand hectares have been damaged. The crop damage was estimated about 354 crores. Besides three thousand Kilometres of rural roads were also damaged due to ferocious floods.</span><br />''  <br />
