People are busy marketing materials and fruits used in the Chhath Puja. The markets are full of seasonal fruits, Puja material and Soop, Daoura, and Earthen lamps made by local artisans. This festival also symbolises the importance of &quot;vocal for local&quot; as most of the articles used in puja are sold by local vendors and artisans.<br />''<br />''Akashvani Correspondent reports that in Bihar, the Chhath Puja is the biggest and most sacred festival in the State. The festival also symbolises the spirit of religious harmony. Besides Hindu, devotees from other religions also perform Chhath Puja and actively provide their support. A large number of inmates are also observing Chhath in different jails of the state. In Khudiram Bose, Muzaffarpur Central Jail more than 100 inmates are also observing Chhath. The Jail Administration has arranged all facilities for their convenience. Most of the people perform Chhath Puja on the banks of Ganga, Gandak, Sone, Kosi, Mahananda and other rivers. District Administrations have prepared Chhath Ghat for the convenience of devotees. Several migrant workers and other residents are returning to their homes in Bihar to participate in Chhath Puja celebrations. Railway officials said average footfall has crossed more than 2.5 lakh per day at Patna junction. Other railway stations are also witnessing heavy rush in view of Chhath Puja.<br />
