Bihar: Candidates intensify door-to-door canvassing

In Bihar in the absence of star campaigners from their parties, candidates have intensified their door to door canvassing in their respective areas. Most of the major political parties have suspended their canvassing drive for time being in the areas going for poll in 6th phase of assembly elections in view of festivity of Chhat Puja. No political have scheduled any election rally tomorrow in the state.After visiting Aurangabad, Nabinagar, Dehri and Sasaram constituencies our correspondent reports most of the serious contestants from recognised political parties as well as independent candidates are moving village to village to woo voters. In Naxal hit areas intensity of campaigning is also encouraging amid tight security as security personnel have started reaching in trouble hit constituencies. It has given boost in the morale of political activists. Security is being more intensified in view of recent Naxal violence. In Gaya district two vehicles engaged in campaigning for independent candidates were burnt today under Gurua and Tekari constituencies. Maoists had burnt an election office of a political party yesterday in the district.Meanwhile senior BJP leader Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi addressed election rallies at Buxar, Kaimur and Aurangabad district. He fallen heavily on then RJD government for ignoring interests of common men. He said NDA was committed for over all progress of the state. Terming RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav as person only keep talking he said governments of husband and wife were never serious for issues before the state. He alleged then Congress and RJD governments were responsible for bad condition of irrigation and power. He announced power sector would be on top priority if NDA government comes into power.
