Bihar BJP President Dr. C.P. Thakur has resigned in protest against attitude of the party. Dr. Thakur submitted his resignation today to party President Nitin Gadkari. He also announced that he will not participate in the election campaign of the party. He said he has been marginalized in matters of policy decision of Bihar affairs. The party had denied tickets to his son. AIR Patna correspondent reports that supporters of Dr. Thakur demonstrated against alleged dictatorship of senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi.Janta Dal (United) National President Sharad Yadav today called upon C. P. Thakur and requested him to reconsider his resignation.Scrutiny process for the second phase of elections have been completed. 682 candidates have filed their nomination process for this phase. Candidates can withdraw their nomination till tomorrow.
