Bihar bandh: Security on high alert

<br/>A state-wide bandh called by the RJD-LJP combine in Bihar against fuel price hike began this morning. Elaborate security arrangements have been made. Schools have been closed in view of bandh.<br/><br/>Director General of Police Neelmani said the Police and Railways are co-ordinating to ensure smooth rail movement. He said railway stations have been provided additional security. The administration is trying to keep all links open between all major towns.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan said essential services including hospital, water supply and electricity have been exempted from the purview of the bandh.
