About 25 per cent voting was recorded after three hours of polling in the third phase of Assembly elections in Bihar. AIR Patna correspondent reports that polling is progressing smoothly except a few minor complaints of malfunctioning of EVMs, which are being rectified. In this phase, voting is taking place in 48 constituencies spread over six districts of East Champaran, West Champaran, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj and Vaishali, some of which are Naxal affected. Jawans of central para-military forces have been deployed on all booths and the help of special commandos is being taken for peaceful poll. The polling started at 7 this morning and it will continue till 5 pm except three Naxal affected constituencies of Patepur, Balmikinagar and Ramnagar where it will end at 3 pm. Over one crore three lakh electorates will decide the political fortune of 785 candidates including 65 women.
