Bihar : All district authorities instructed to increase testing for COVID-19

<span style="color: #222222;">In Bihar, all district authorities in the state have been instructed to increase testing and carry out targetted screening of people with special focus on those returning from affected states. Random tests are being done at the airport, railway stations and bus stations to detect affected persons. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said medical teams have been constituted at Primary Health Centres to intensify the number of corona tests.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile a total of three lakh 71 thousand 539 health care workers took the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. So far, 17 lakh 85 thousand 718 beneficiaries have been inoculated with vaccine doses since the start of vaccination drive in the state. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said 1.25 crore people in two categories of senior citizen and people of 45 years with co-morbidities will be inoculated during ongoing third phase of vaccination.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Two lakh 61 thousand 362 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection in state so far. COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 99.24 per cent in Bihar.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The number of active cases is continuously declining. Currently, only 436 patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals. 90 fresh cases were reported during 24 hours. No positive case was reported from seven districts of the state.</span><br />''
