In Bihar over 450 officials are under vigilance scanner. Five of them are IAS and IPS officers. According to vigilance department, process of initiating criminal proceedings against corrupt officials will begin after preliminary inquiry is complete.AIR Patna correspondent reports that the vigilance has issued notices for the confiscation of properties of former Director General of Police Narayan Mishra,former Drug Controller Y K Jaysawal and Former Rajbhasa Director D N Chaudhary for their involvement in corrupt practices. Vigilance sources said some officers with huge assets in and outside Bihar have conveniently escaped the vigilance dragnet, being close to the law.
