Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today launched the Right to Service Act. After unfurling tricolour at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Mr. Kumar said that as of now people can assert to obtain time bound services in 50 different works ranging from social security pensions, caste certificate, domicile certificates, ration cards, police verification for jobs and passport to examination certificates and land related works. AIR Patna correspondent reports that those officials who failed to provide services within time frame will be fined rupees 250 per day. If required disciplinary action will also be taken and they can be removed from their services.
