Bihar is witnessing a spike in new cases of Covid -19. A record 1527 fresh cases were reported during the last 24 hours. Patna, alone reported 522 cases. One thousand 124 containment zones have been made across the state while 188 micro- containment zones are in Patna. The state government has instructed to conduct RT PCR tests to those passengers who are coming from Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi and other sensitive states.<br />''  <br />'' Covid-19 recovery rate is also decreasing and it is at 97.24 per cent now. Two lakh 64 thousand 402 patients have been recovered from the infection in the State so far. Five thousand 925 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of state. Over one lakh 07 thousand 841 people took vaccine during the last 24 hour. Over 42 lakh 38 thousand people have so far been vaccinated in the State.
