Biggest problem Railway is facing is lack of investment: MoS Railways

Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha has said that the biggest problem Railway is facing is lack of investment during the past several years. Talking to media persons in Lucknow today, Mr. Sinha said that number of passengers has increased by 18 times since independence, but Railway network has increased by just over two times during these years.<br/><br/>Mr. Sinha said, due to this gap, it is difficult for railways to run trains on time. Appreciating Prime Minister's initiative to strengthen rail network in the country, Mr Sinha said that by 2020 railway passengers will able to get on demand reservation in trains. He said, 400 railway stations including Lucknow will be converted into modern rail stations.
