Biggest challenge facing NHRC is the need for capacity building: Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph

In an exclusive interview to AIR, on the occasion of World Human Rights Day, acting Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Hon'ble Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph has said that the biggest challenge facing the commission is the need for capacity building in terms of staff strength and resources, to redress the large number of diverse complaints being received. He attributed the increase in complaints to the increased awareness of human rights amongst the citizens.<br/><br/>He also said that this year the Commission is celebrating World Human Rights Day with a difference.
