The Election Commission on Wednesday issued notification to hold biennial election to fill six vacancies in Karnataka legislative Council. The candidates will contest from Graduates and Teachers constituencies during the election to be held on June 10th. The last date to file nominations is May 23rd and the last date for withdrawal is May 26th. Counting will be held on June 13. The biennial elections are being held as the term of office of six members of Karnataka Legislative Council from Graduates' and Teachers' constituencies is to end on June 21.
