The biennial election to the one seat of Rajya Sabha from Puducherry will be held on 28th of this month. The election has been necessitated due to expiry of the term of Rajya Sabha member P Kannan on 6th of October. <br/><br/>According to the Election Commission, the notification for the election will be issued on 10 of this month, 18 September will be the last date of making nominations. The Scrutiny will take place on 19th and candidatures can be withdrawn up to 21st of this month.
