<span style="color: #222222;">Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the dates for the biennial election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from 3 graduates and 2 Teachers constituencies. In an official release, the ECI said that the term of office of these 5 members had expired on 19th July, 2020.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, the process of election to these seats could not be carried out due to Covid-19 pandemic. It further said that the ECI after receiving inputs from CEO Maharashtra has now decided that the polling for these seats will take place on 1st December, between 8 am to 5 pm. Counting of votes will take place on 3rd December.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The notification will be issued on 5th November, while the last date of filing nominations will be 12th November and scrutiny of the nominations will take place on 13th November. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 17th November. The five seats for which biennial election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council will take place include Aurangabad Division Graduates', Pune Division Graduates', Nagpur Division Graduates', Amravati Division Teachers' and Pune Division Teachers'.</span><br />
