The CBI Court of Patiala today convicted Punjab Cabinet Minister Bibi Jagir Kaur for forced abortion and kidnapping of her daughter. However, the court acquitted her of the charges of her daughter's murder. Kaur has been sentenced for five years imprisonment on the charges set by the Court.
AIR correspondent reports that she has been sent to jail in Patiala. Her Counsel said in Patiala that a petition will be filed in the High Court against the Patiala Court's decision.
