Bhutan King to arrive in New Delhi for four-day visit today

King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, is arriving in New Delhi today <br/><br/>King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, is arriving in New Delhi today on a four-day visit to India. He will be accompanied by his wife, Queen Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck. <br/><br/>During the visit, the King will meet with President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will host a dinner in honour of the guests. <br/><br/>Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other Ministers and senior officials will also call on the King.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that India and Bhutan enjoy unique ties of friendship, which are characterised by deep understanding and mutual trust. <br/><br/>The visit is keeping in with the long standing tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries. The visit would provide an opportunity to both sides for reviewing the entire gamut of bilateral co-operation. <br/><br/>The golden jubilee of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries will be celebrated next year.
