Bhutan's Finance Minister Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk called on the Nepalese Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal in Kathmandu today and handed over an invitation letter to attend the 16th Summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to be held in Thimpu from April 28-29.Prime Minister's Press Advisor Bishnu Rizal told newsmen that during the meeting, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal urged the visiting Bhutanese Minister to resolve the problem of Bhutanese refugees living in different parts of Nepal. In response, the visiting Bhutanese Minister assured that he would convey the message to his government.Nearly 100,000 Bhutanese refugees, mostly of Nepali-origin have been residing in UN supervised camps in eastern Nepal for nearly two decades. Of these, around 26,000 refugees have been resettled in various western countries including the US after they were offered the option of third country resettlement
