The 86th birth anniversary of legendary poet, singer, director Dr Bhupen Hazarika is being observed across the state on Saturday.The Dadasaheb Phalkee award winner Dr. Hazarika died last year in Mumbai.Various cultural programmes are being organised to mark the day.In Guwahati, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi led the ceremony at his Samadhi in Jalukbari.Gogoi paid rich tribute by remembering his contribution to the Assamese society.Assam government and various organisations also organised cultural programme in the city.Cultural programme are also being organised at his birth place Sadia.
