World Number One Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Spaniards Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer advanced to the second round.In the Women's Singles, top seeds like World Number One Serena Williams of the United States, China's Na Li and Czech Petra Kvitova have made it to the pre-quarterfinals.However, Venus Williams made an exit from the Women's Singles, after losing to this year's Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki of Germany, in straight sets, 1-6, 2-6.
