The Bhubaneshwar-Delhi Rajdhani Express which was stopped by the Maoists yesterday at Banstala in West Midnapore district of West Bengal finally reached the New Delhi station this evening. The train which was scheduled to arrive at 1045 this morning was stranded for more than seven hours after it was stopped by the Maoists between Sardiha and Jhargram railway stations in Kharagpur divisions at 2.45 p.m. yesterday and its driver and his assistants were held captive and later released. The train was freed five hours after it was stopped. Later, it was escorted by the CRPF for its onward journey.
