The Supreme Court today dismissed CBI's curative petition seeking restoration of stringent charges against the Bhopal tragedy accused.The Apex court said, no satisfactory explanation has been given by CBI and the Madhya Pradesh Government on filing curative petition after a lapse of 14 years. The court said that, the September 1996 judgement and order was never a fetter for the CBI or the Madhya Pradesh Govt to seek enhancement of charges.
