Bhopal girl to attend UN Gen Assembly as part of delegation on children rights

A 16-year-old girl from Bhopal would be part of a 15-member delegation – under the 'Nine is Mine' advocacy campaign which is concerned with the rights of children, that would represent the country during the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Yashasvi Kumud, a class 11 student is the only girl from Madhya Pradesh to be selected. The campaign would kickstart from New Delhi on Sunday.<br/> <br/>The delegation would leave for New York on the 17th of this month. In New York, the members of the delegation would meet UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon. They will stress on the implementation of UN charter for children besides coming out with new suggestions for enhancing the quality of life of children.<br/><br/>Yashasvi has been associated with campaign for girl children's rights from age of four through an NGO and has also floated a support group of children.
