Government will approach the CBI to move the Sessions Court in Bhopal for early hearing of its revision application and appeal seeking harsher punishment for the Bhopal Gas Tragedy accused. The decision was taken by the Group of Ministers, GoM after the Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the curative petition filed by the CBI to reconsider its earlier judgement of 1996. In an official release, the GoM said that the since 1996, there have been a number of governments at the Centre and therefore, all governments are responsible for the delay in moving the Supreme Court.
