<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, a judicial commission, investigating the Bhima Koregaon case, has summoned former Mumbai top cop Param Bir Singh and former Pune police commissioner Rashmi Shukla for questioning. The two member committee headed by Justice (retired) JN Patel have asked the officers to respond by 8th of next month. Parambir was additional director general, law and order at the time of the Bhima Koregaon violence in January 2018, while Shukla was commissioner of police in Pune.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It may be recalled that a youngster had lost his life when violence erupted during the 200th anniversary celebrations of the Bhima-Koregaon battle in Pune in 2018. A judicial probe was soon ordered. The commission has so far examined 35 witnesses and received nearly 500 affidavits from victims, outfits, NGOs, right-wing groups, the government and police officials across Pune, Mumbai and Thane districts.</span>
