BHEL-MPPGCL to jointly set up 1600 MW plant in Khandwa

In Madhya Pradesh, the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Ltd (MPPGCL) signed a joint venture this evening to set up a 1600 megawatt thermal power station in Khandwa district. Union minister for heavy industries and public enterprises Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and minister of state minister for heavy industries and public enterprises Arun Yadav, were present on this occasion. Under the plan two super critical units of 800 mw each will be set up. This will be for the first time that the state-of-art super critical technology will be used to set up a power plant in the state.<br/>
