The Congress and BJP have demanded a judicial inquiry into the firing incident in Bhatta Parsaul Village of Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh on Saturady in which four people were killed. AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh told reporters at Bhatta Parsaul village that the party wants a judicial inquiry by a retired judge into the incident.Former UP Chief Minister Rajnath Singh told a Press Conference that the Centre should bring a new Land Acquisition Act and till then no land should be acquired.AICC General Secretaries Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh on Wednesday sat on a dharna in Bhatta Parsaul village. They said they will not leave the village until the demands of villagers are met. The villagers of Bhatta Parsaul are demanding lifting of charges on the farmers, fair probe into the incident and withdrawal of reward and charges on farmers’ leader Manveer Singh Tewatia. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh government has lifted section 144 from Bhatta Parsaul village. A government spokesman said in Lucknow that the situation is very well under control.AIR correspondent reports, the state government on Wednesday claimed that the situation in Bhatta Parsaul village in Gautam Buddha Nagar is fast returning to normal but on the other hand the villagers say that they are still feared from the wrath of PAC inflicted upon them three days ago. They came out to tell their woes to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi. Meanwhile the state government has lifted section 144 from Bhatta Parsaul village. Several political parties including BJP and Congress have demanded immediate resignation of Ms Mayawati and judicial probe into the incident.
