In West Bengal, Bharati Tamang, the widow of slain Gorkha League leader Madan Tamang, was appointed the President of All India Gorkha League, AIGL. Her appointment comes just two day after Bharati Tamang told that she would not allow her husband's sacrifice to go in vain. <br/><br/>Yesterday, she even met the West Bengal Governor Mr.M.K.Narayanan at Raj Bhawan in Darjeeling and demanded a CBI inquiry into the assassination of her husband.<br/><br/>In yet another political development two prominent leaders of Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha from Kalimpong, Dr.Harka Bahadur Chettri,Press and publicity secretary and Mr.L.B.Pariyar, Party's member of the study forum returned to the Morcha fold again last evening.<br/><br/>Both the leaders had resigned from the morcha holding it morally responsible for the murder of AIGL President Madan Tamang on 21st May in Darjeeling.
