Union Minister of Human Resources Development Smriti Irani today announced that The Bharat Vani online portal and mobile App would be launched soon through which learning material would be made available to students in Indian languages free of cost.<br/><br/> She was speaking at a function in Pune organised to mark the Platinum Jubilee year of the post graduate and research Institute of Deccan College which is a Deemed university. She said that the greatest challenge is finding learning material for students in languages other than English and to meet this challenge this App is being developed.<br/><br/>Minister expressed expectation that The Deccan College Pune should partner with UNESCO to tell the world of its great Archaeological and linguistic heritage. Recalling that the institute was attended by Lokmanya Tilak the Minister stated that the uniqueness of the institute was due to research in ancient Indian linguistics and archaeology. <br/><br/>Urging the professors and students to make the research done by the institute applicable to modern India, the minister said that Sanskrit can make understanding of maths better. Archaeology and linguistics can give a new dimension to science.
