Level of water in the reservoir of Bhakhra Dam has reached up to 1681.11 feet as heavy inflow of water continues from the catchment areas of river Satluj. Extra water was released today in river Satluj as authorities have decided not to raise the level of water further in view of prolonged monsoon season. Extra water is being released regularly from the dam for about the last 12 days. The released water has caused flood like situation in the areas near the banks of river Satluj.
