The Planning Commission has approved the sanction for the extension of time limit for modernization of canal system of Bhadra Reservoir Project in Karnataka. According to an official release, under the modified conditions, the Project will now be completed by March, 2013. The state government had requested for the extension of time period for the completion of the project without any increase in the cost.
