Union Commerce minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that her ministry has recommended to implement the North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy(NEIIPP) through DoNER ministry. <br/><br/>Participating in the Assam Nirman conclave on infrastructure and development in Guwahati today, Ms.Sitharaman said that proposal in this regard has been sent to the Finance ministry.She said that 15 thousand crore rupees is available with the DoNER ministry under Non- Lapseble Central Pool of Resources,NLCPR and it can be utilised for the North East Industrial and Investment Policy .<br/><br/>The minister said that better connectivity in North East is one of the priority area of the NDA government. She said that the Centre is committed to develop infrastructure and connectivity in the region.<br/><br/>Our Correspondent reports that the Assam Nirman is an initiative of the BJP to get connected with people from all walks of life in Assam.Several Union ministers will deliver lecture on different issues in coming days in the state under Assam Nirman initiative.
