He highlighted what the government has done for every section of the society in the past eight years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The minister said that India now has the third-highest number of unicorns in the world, and 47 of them were born during the pandemic.<br />''<br />''During the pandemic, he said when the world was struggling, India was busy strengthening its foundation for the post-pandemic world. He said six lakh villages have been connected with optical fiber, Rs 1.3 trillion has been allocated for connectivity and infrastructure.<br />''<br />''To encourage manufacturing in India, the minister said the government has introduced PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) scheme in 14 sectors.<br />''<br />''The Minister later visited the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) at Peddar Road. and said that those visiting the city should visit it.<br />''<br />''Talking to reporters he said, NMIC is a heritage of the country people from Mumbai and those who are fond of Indian movies should especially pay a visit to the NMIC upon their visit to Mumbai. The museum, he said, takes the audience 100 years back to when the films were first made, and the long journey it has covered to date.<br />''<br />''The minister said, Indian films are the soft power of the country and through the medium of entertainment it rules the hearts and minds of people not only in India but across the world.<br />''<br />''The Minister planted a sapling at the premises of the NMIC and also held a review meeting with the officials of Films Division, NMIC, Central Board of Film Certification, and NFDC.
