The Union Minister of Steel, Beni Prasad Varma arrived in Visakhpatnam in the aftermath of yesterday’s fire accident. 11 people died and several others seriously injured with burns in the accident that occurred in the Vizag Steel Plant’s Steel Melt Shop.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy also reached the port city.Two of the critically injured in yesterday’s mishap are being airlifted to Mumbai on special air ambulance this evening. They suffered complete burns of their skin. Three others who sustained 95 per cent of burn injuries are kept on ventilators and their condition is stated to be serious.A team of three plastic surgeons have arrived from Hyderabad to assist the medical fraternity here.
