Bengaluru violence: Sampath Raj sent to two day police custody

In Karnataka, the Congress leader and former Bengaluru Mayor Sampath Raj was sent to two day police custody today in connection with DJ Halli and KG Halli violence case. Sampath Raj, the Congress corporator from Devara Jeevanahalli municipal ward, is accused of playing a role in the August 11th violence that left four people dead. Karnataka Home minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that the arrest of Sampath Raj will help police expose people behind the violence.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;"> Joint Commissioner of Police(Crime) Sandeep Patil informed that Sampath Raj was arrested last night. A special police team tracked him down to a friend's house in Benson Town. He had escaped from a private hospital where he was admitted for Covid 19 treatment.
