Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya has informed that the loopholes in the COVID hospital bed booking system have been plugged. Addressing media persons in the city today, he said that new features are added in the bed booking system software that will prevent misuse by vested interests. <br />''<br />''The name of the doctor or the official will now appear on the system while a bed is booked, thereby making them accountable. An automatic SMS message will be dispatched to the patient who needs the bed and another to the hospital where the bed is booked. To avoid proxy allocation or allocation in the name of dead, discharged patients or those in home isolation, the manual unblocking of booked beds is now removed. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The 10 hours time given for the patients to occupy the bed has not been reduced to four hours thereby reducing the chance of foul play. Mr Surya informed that in a couple of days the software will also introduce a waiting list system for the bed seekers and the details of the discharged patients will be brought on to the system.</span><br />
