After violent protests against release of Cauvery water to Tamilnadu on Monday, Bengaluru is limping back to normalcy. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is holding a meeting on Law and order situation in the morning today. The government has decided to deploy additional central forces in the city and continue prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC till further orders. <br/><br/>City Police Commissioner N S Megarikh said around 600 people have been arrested in connection with Monday's violence. Siddaramaiah has sought appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek his intervention to bail out the state from the present crisis, as the storage position in reservoirs is poor. <br/><br/>The Chief Minister's office sources said that Prime Minister's office is likely to convey today the date on which the meeting can take place. Karnataka Road Transport buses have started operating to all places except Tamil Nadu. Metro rail has also resumed its service in the city since yesterday night.
