Bengaluru FC have lifted their maiden Federation Cup football title. In the summit clash at Margao today, they edged past Dempo Sports Club 2-1. Sunil Chhetri and substitute Robin Singh scored for the winners, while Tolgay Ozbey pulled one back for the home team just before half-time at the Nehru Stadium. This is the second major title for Bengaluru FC in their two years of existence. They had won the I-League tournament last season. Dempo Club, who were appearing in the final for the fifth time, bagged the coveted title only once, in the Year 2004.
