Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru facilitated safe transit of 38,896 international passengers from April 1 to July 31. This includes 186 Vande Bharat mission flights bringing 24,039 passengers from abroad and 174 evacuation flights, repatriating 14,857 passengers from India. The Vande Bharat Mission commenced from May 7th.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">For the first time, the international airport in Bengaluru facilitated evacuation flights from 11 new cities including Auckland, Baku in Azerbaijan, Baghdad, Cairo, Paro in Bhutan, Stockholm and Tbilisi in Georgia. The airport also handled live human Organs shipment during the lockdown. The human blood stem cells and bone marrow were airlifted to Frankfurt on May 1st and May 16th. Due to a ban on passenger flights during the lockdown period, freighters were used to transport this package of human organs.</span><br />
