Noted Bengali singer Banasree Sengupta today passed away at Kolkata hospital after prolonged illness. Sengupta (71) was undergoing treatment at the state-run SSKM Hospital and died there at 11.30 AM today. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the death of the singer.
