The West Bengal Government has decided to recruit 46 thousand teachers in primary schools in the State. The decision was adopted at the State Cabinet meeting which was chaired by the Chief Minister Miss Mamta Banerjee in Kolkata on Wednesday. Miss Banerjee said that the new recruitment drive will fill up the gap of teachers in primary schools. The Chief Minister announced that out of total recruitment 10 percent will be taken from para-teachers and pass out candidates of Primary Teachers Training Institute. The recruitment process will be completed in next three years. The State Cabinet also decided to set up a Health Recruitment Board to appoint doctors and health workers at different hospitals and health centers in the State.
